07 Aug Ol@ Or@ research summary
Toi Tangata was a huge part of the Ol@ Or@ kaupapa and we want to share the results of the trial process. If you are not familiar with Ol@ Or@ we encourage you to read on and register to be a part of this kaupapa.
The aim of OL@-OR@ was to design a mobile health (mHealth) tool in partnership with our Māori and Pasifika Communities to help reduce the risk of heart disease, obesity and diabetes.
We used co-design methods to ensure the mHealth tool met the needs and wants of our end-users,whanau Māori and Pasifika.
Once the OL@-OR@ mHealth tool was finalised, it was evaluated using a cluster-randomised control trial (RCT) study design involving Māori and Pasifika communities across New Zealand.
The project was funded by the Healthier Lives He Oranga Hauora National Science Challenge.
The app is available for download until the end of the year.
