“Ahakoa te aha, kei a koe te tikanga: Be who you want to be.”
You are invited to play off this theme, perhaps by using the longer theme “Be who you want to be, not what you want to see” or even the symposium favourite “Be who you want to be, not what others want to see”.
Youth Week has been celebrated in Aotearoa/New Zealand since the late 1990s. The nine-day celebration has been coordinated by Ara Taiohi since 2010 with the support of the Ministry of Youth Development and various corporate sponsors such as Health Promotion Agency, WelTec, Inspiring Stories Trust and Vodafone.
