After some readjustments we are delighted to bring you the Toi Te Reo | Toi Tangata Kura Reo programme to be delivered via online webinar.
The modified online sessions will take place over the same two day period, Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 of September 2021. Moving to the online platform enables us to continue supporting kaimahi in health, nutrition, and physical activity across Aotearoa and we will have a mixture of live and prerecorded sessions.
The adapted sessions have been designed to be relevant to those who work in kori (movement), hākinakina (sport), kai oranga (nutrition) and hauora (health and well-being).
If you registered already, your registration will roll over to the new format. If you want to opt out, kei te pai, just let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org as numbers are limited for our live sessions to ensure you get the most out of the interactive exercises.
Ngā mihi to those of you who have already let us know you can’t make it as we do have a waitlist of people keen to jump on the kauapa.
Toi Te Reo | Toi Tangata Kura Reo
Kuruho Wereta of Kura Rēhia co-created Kaupapa, a reo Māori focused game to encourage whānau to learn and use Te Reo Māori. Kūruho shares his reo Māori journey while creating a resource for whānau to use, and the bravery it takes to overcome whakamā to do so. He also discusses the mechanics of games as a vehicle for learning.
As part of the Toi Tangata Kura Reo, this is our first publicly available recording.
