Tuhia ki tō rae! SAVE THE DATE! Toi Tangata Hui ā Tau 25 – 27 March 2025

The theme of our Hui ā Tau 2025  is “Te Ahi Kaiata” – The flame that consumes the morning. The kaupapa of Te Ahi Kaiata draws on our connection with ahi, not only as a source of warmth, but as a symbol of time, place, and presence. It steers us towards new possibilities while honouring our ancestral fires, ahi kā, and the sacred flames we have inherited from those who have come before us. It guides us through the complexities of modern society while fueling the aspirations of tomorrow.

We currently invite expressions of interest for workshops at our Toi Tangata Hui ā Tau 2025, hosted in Waiwhetu – Te Upoko o te Ika a Maui tikitiki a Taranga.

Workshops should align with our focus on reclaiming and reasserting tikanga and mātauranga that enhance hauora Māori. We welcome submissions that explore innovative approaches within Toi Tākaro, Kori, Toi Rangahau (Research), and Kai Ora.
