We wish to acknowledge the haukāinga of Te Piiti Marae in Omanaia, for hosting the first of the Joe McLeod’s ‘Ngā Kai Tuatahi o te Motu’ wānanga last weekend. It was such a privilege to hear not only the memories but the aspirations of the haukāinga when it came to kai Māori.
