Toi Ako Webinars
Toi Ako webinars are sessions conducted in a seminar style presentation held online. These webinars are dynamic, easily digested and brief training sessions that enable Toi Tangata to be responsive and meet needs identified by the sector. This provides a fluid opportunity for interested bodies to engage throughout New Zealand. After the ngako, or main part has been delivered, a forum to communicate, discuss and connect over the content with both the facilitator and other viewers will be available. Don't know how to connect to a webinar? Watch our YouTube video here.
We are looking to increase promotion of the Toi Ako webinars and work in collaboration across and within sector expertise to deliver powerful and timely messages to the workforce on key Māori nutrition and physical activity kaupapa. Kōrero mai, tell us what you would like updates on by adding your name, email and what you are interested in on our Join the Toi Tangata Network side panel.
Check out our events page for other tranings and events.
We do not have any current webinars scheduled. Please watch this space for updates.

Toi Ako Webinar: A Metaphoric Approach to Health and Wellbeing
Metaphoric poetry always has a way of resonating with Māori. Although it is easy to identify huahuatau (metaphor) in written or communicated kōrero, it is not always easy to physically interpret huahuatau (metaphor). Especially when we attempt to apply huahuatau in our respective roles in Māori health.
